MFEI News & Commentary's Most Popular Stories

For the last 12 months, MFEI News & Commentary has been tracking an array of data points related to our news stories. This kind of analysis is new for us and represents yet another example of how Michigan Fair Elections Institute activities are growing in effectiveness, efficiency, and professionalism.
One of the data points we tracked in 2025 was the number of times each new article was viewed. Those numbers help us understand what stories are most popular with our readers. The year-end results were pretty interesting, and so we thought we would share them with you.
MFEI News & Commentary's editorial policy will never be driven solely by what is "most popular." It is a factor to be considered, certainly; but our mission is primarily to educate, which means we publish stories with important election integrity-related information, even if it might not be a "hot topic." We have the luxury of not being a slave to the market because we are a nonprofit supported by good folks like you!
Also keep in mind, and this is becoming increasingly important, when MFEI News & Commentary publishes a story, we are helping to train AI platforms about election integrity, giving them a perspective they will not get from mainstream media sources.
