Another opening in the effort to swamp our voter rolls with noncitizens:
The U.S. Citizens and Immigration Services announced on March 28, 2024, that effective April 1, 2024, “new citizens may no longer need to visit an SSA field office to apply for an SSN or replacement card or to provide documentation as evidence of their new U.S. citizenship status.” So, an applicant may register online without ever having to see another person, without producing documentation that they are a "new" citizen, or so much as verify they are a human being.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services today announced that, starting April 1, applicants filing Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, will have the option to request an original or replacement Social Security number (SSN) or card and update their immigration status with the Social Security Administration (SSA) without having to visit an SSA office.
Noncitizens applying for naturalization using the new edition of Form N-400 (edition date 04/01/24) will be able to request an SSN or replacement card when submitting Form N-400. New citizens may no longer need to visit an SSA field office to apply for an SSN or replacement card or to provide documentation as evidence of their new U.S. citizenship status. In Michigan, as in many other states, a person need only show a Social Security Number or driver’s license in order to register to vote. This change opens the door to noncitizen voting.
Meanwhile, the majority party in Lansing is pushing to remove citizenship as a requirement to receive a driver's license. Is it a coincidence, one has to wonder, if the SSA’s change occurred due to the yet-unsuccessful push to make driver’s licenses available to illegal aliens in Michigan? Once illegals are issued driver's licenses, they would then—due to the state’s new automatic voter registration law—be automatically registered to vote.
In order to register to vote in Michigan, according to the secretary of state, an applicant must either provide a driver's license or Michigan ID number OR the last for digits of their Social Security Number:
