Michigan Fair Elections Institute (MFEI), joining a coalition of four citizen organizations, filed a friend-of-the-court brief with the United States Supreme Court on Wednesday, urging the justices to declare, once and for all, that Election Day is a hard deadline — not an aspirational suggestion.
